Isaac joined the Shore and Country Club in September 2010 as Assistant Manager. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in both Hospitality Management and Business Administration. Isaac was born and raised in Wisconsin but has worked in various parts of the US at private country clubs. Namely, The Los Angeles Country Club, Dallas Country Club, Milwaukee Country Club and New Hampshire’s Bald Peak Colony Club.
Cherese Palmer has a decade of experience in hospitality. Originally born in South Africa, she always had a sense of adventure. After graduating high school she took the opportunity to move to the United States and work in various Country Clubs. Getting her start at Windsor Country Club in Florida, then stretching out to Philadelphia, Cape Cod, Utah and eventually landing herself in Connecticut. Shortly after making Connecticut home, she earned her Culinary Certification as well as two degrees in Hotel Management and Restaurant Management. As a member of the Club Manager’s Association of America, she is consistently continuing her education and learning new ideas to implement for your event.
Cherese joined The Shore and Country Club in 2012 and after assisting with club and private events she quickly realized her passion for event planning. It is not just about the planning process, but more importantly she makes the client feel like part of our SCC family for the day. Cora joined The Shore and Country Club staff in July of 2012. Cora is originally from the state of Oregon where she holds a degree in Business Accounting. In 2007, Cora moved from Oregon to the East Coast to excel her business career in Personal Training to which she has obtained Professional Certifications. At the beginning of 2013, Cora elevated to the role of Membership Coordinator at The Shore and Country Club. Here you will find her spirited and cheerful personality welcoming all your Membership inquires.
Jim has been the Executive Chef at SCC since 2008. He joined the Club from Aspetuck Valley Country Club and also has experience in private restaurants in New York City. Jim lives in Fairfield County with his wife and two young children.
Carla McKenzie is a graduate of Methodist University where she was a three time All-American, two time National Doubles Champion and still holds the school record for highest percentage of wins in doubles at 93.5%. She was ranked #1 in the country for three straight years with her doubles partner Elena Blanina. She was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010 as an individual and again in 2016 as a Team of Distinction. Carla majored in Physical Education and Professional Tennis Management as an undergraduate and has a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Golf, Tennis and Resort Management. Carla is a PTR Master Professional and Clinician and is certified by PTR with Professional standards in 10&U, 11-17, Adult, Senior and Performance development. She’s a USPTA Elite Professional, Master Racquet Technician, certified Tennis Performance Trainer (TPT) by the (International Tennis Performance Association), certified Mental Tough Specialist by the (Human Performance Institute), Licensed Cardio Tennis Provider, USTA Sport Science Level 1, and certified in CPR, First Aid and AED. Carla is very excited to return for her 2nd season at The Shore and Country Club.
