Junior Sailing

Our program caters to all junior members interested in sailing from ages 8-16, and of all skill levels, from beginners to regatta-racing-regulars. Classes range from 4 weeks or 8 weeks, with sailors meeting 4 times a week. Our program covers everything from the basics of sailing to competitive inter-club racing. Our fleet is comprised of Optimists, Fevas, and 420’s (sailors interested in sailing lasers must supply their own boat).

To participate in the Jr. Sailing Program all sailors must pass the mandatory US Sailing Swim Test:

• Swim 50 meters unassisted without stopping/standing/grabbing the wall
• Tread water for 60 seconds
• Put on a PFD Type III lifejacket on in the water unassisted
